A nineteenth century tested gold topped perfume bottle in original fitted case. c. 1860.

This beautiful perfume bottle is likely to have been made in the mid part of the nineteenth century. It is in exceptional condition and is presented in its original fitted case. Although unmarked, the top has been tested and tests to 14ct gold. The body of the bottle is of a high quality slightly waisted form and the bottle retains its original ground glass stopper. The top is beautifully cased and decorated and is hinged for ease of use. It is still possible to detect the smell of perfume.

   This superb quality perfume bottle stands 9 cm high, is 3.4 cm at its widest point and 2.5 at its deepest. (Measurements approximate). It is in fine condition, showing light wear and signs of use appropriate to its age and substance. It has no restoration.
